My name is Alan Nicol. Born in Brittany, France, I was fortunate to spend my childhood in the countryside, exploring the woods and venturing by the river to discover the rich wildlife around our home.

Some 30 years on, and after having lived in the UK, Spain, Argentina and Italy, I have finally settled in Catalonia. My love for nature, the outdoors, languages and culture has only grown stronger and I have devoted over a decade to helping companies get the right message across to their clients and target audience working with a loyal client base that have become more than just clients.

I have found the perfect balance; spending time with my family, being outdoors, guiding people from all over the world and sharing my passion and knowledge of the land where I live, and working from home or at a client’s HQ using my linguistic skills and experience to lead companies onto the right path, ensuring that their message is understood and that it fulfils its purpose.

In my first class, during my master’s degree in translation and interpreting, our professor emphasised on the fact that, as future translators, we had the freedom to work from anywhere. It may have seemed a little far-fetched at the time, but he was right.
